Global Research Enablement & UK Entry (West Midlands)
Supporting international research organisations to establish a credible UK footprint
Overview
CliniKas provides strategic advisory and enablement support to international medical research organisations seeking to engage with the UK research ecosystem — with a particular focus on primary care–led research in the West Midlands.
Led by Kasim Choudhary, a Partner-level NHS Primary Care leader with over two decades of experience in healthcare operations, governance and research enablement, CliniKas supports organisations to assess feasibility, de-risk entry, and establish sustainable research activity in the UK.
This service is designed for organisations that value credibility, governance and delivery, and who wish to engage with UK primary care ethically, effectively and at scale.
Why the UK — and Why the West Midlands
The UK offers international research organisations advantages that are difficult to replicate elsewhere:
- A population-based health system with longitudinal primary care data
- Strong regulatory and governance frameworks recognised globally
- High sponsor confidence in UK-generated evidence
- Access to early-stage disease, prevention and screening cohorts
- Within the UK, the West Midlands offers a particularly compelling proposition:
- A large, diverse population with high disease prevalence
- Dense networks of GP practices
- Strong academic and clinical research infrastructure
- Faster mobilisation and lower cost base than London
CliniKas supports organisations to navigate this landscape pragmatically, without unnecessary complexity or over-investment.
What We Do
CliniKas provides advisory and enablement support across four core areas:

2. Primary Care Research Enablement
- Clinical system search logic design (EMIS / SystmOne)
- Recruitment pathway design aligned to UK governance
- Practice engagement and onboarding strategies
- Support for ethical, scalable primary care recruitment
3. Research Operations & Governance Advisory
- UK-appropriate governance and assurance frameworks
- Study mobilisation readiness support
- Stakeholder alignment across clinical and operational teams
- Practical advice grounded in NHS operational reality
4. UK Entry & Birmingham-Based Footprint Support
- West Midlands research ecosystem mapping
- Operating model and early-stage presence design
- Advisory support during initial UK studies
- Interim UK-facing advisory support where appropriate
- CliniKas does not broker patients or sell access.
- Our role is to enable, advise and de-risk.
Who This Service Is For
This offering is particularly suited to:
- Middle East–based CROs seeking to expand internationally
- Research organisations focused on real-world evidence or population health
- Sponsors looking to anchor multi-country studies with UK primary care data
- Organisations exploring a measured, credible UK entry rather than rapid expansion
It is not designed for organisations seeking purely transactional recruitment or short-term volume without governance.
Our Approach
CliniKas operates on the principle that credibility precedes scale. Our work is:
- Advisory rather than sales-led
- Governance-aligned and reputation-aware
- Practical, delivery-focused and grounded in real NHS operations
- Structured to support long-term, sustainable engagement
Engagements are typically structured as:
- Fixed-scope feasibility or enablement projects
- Fractional advisory support
- Phased UK entry support
